‘Plant a Tree for the Jubilee’
25/05/2022
Today, to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, Accord academies each held a tree planting ceremony to create a legacy in honour of Her Majesty’s 70-year reign.
Cypress trees, complete with commemorative plaques, were planted by academy pupils in special events to make memories and benefit future generations, whilst complementing the Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural curriculum.
Trees and railway sleepers were generously donated by the Trust’s Ground Maintenance provider, Marcus Pound, of RMP Groundcare Maintenance.
Take a glimpse of the events at Middlestown Primary, Horbury Primary Academy, Horbury Academy and Ossett Academy, below!
